Nghe An Forest Protection Department is coordinating with Dien Chau District Police, Nghe An Police to clarify the task related to 6 dead rhinos at an eco-tourism area in Dien Lam commune, Dien Chau district , Nghe An province. Authorities conducted an autopsy on the scene, dissected the rhino’s carcass, and took samples to send to clarify the cause of the rhino’s death.
This eco-tourism area where rhino is raised has thousands of rare and precious wild animals in captivity. This is the largest eco-tourism area in Dien Chau district, about 55 km from Vinh city. For many years now, this is an eco-tourism area attracting tourists inside and outside Nghe An province. On holidays, Tet, this place often has many tourists come to visit.
The dead rhinos were two-horned rhinoceros imported from Africa to Vietnam, each weighing over a ton.
