The owner of the ecological zone in Dien Lam (in Dien Chau, Nghe An province) bought 9 rhinos from abroad. Six dead rhinos were purchased at an average price of 5 billion VND for each.
Regarding the incident that 6 two-horned rhinoceroses died suddenly in the ecological area in Dien Lam, Dien Chau district (Nghe An province), the news said that the owner of the ecological area had bought 9 rhinos, 6 of them died. All of these rhinos were purchased from abroad for around 5 billion VND each. There are only 3 living rhinos left.
Previously, talking to a reporter of Dan Viet Newspaper, Mr. Tang Van Luyen – Chairman of the People’s Committee of Dien Chau district (Nghe An province) said that the locality had information about the incident. The cause of death of these rhinos has not yet been determined.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan – Deputy Director of the Sub-Department of Nghe An Forest Protection Department said that 6 rhinos died simultaneously on September 16. Immediately after receiving the information, the Inspection Sub-Department, Nghe An Provincial Police took action to clarify.
“The 6 dead rhinos are two-horned rhinoceroses in Africa, imported from abroad by the eco-zone, each weighing more than 1 ton. The police have examined the scene, taken samples and sent to Hanoi to test and investigate to clarify the cause of the death of 6 rhinos. Currently, these 6 rhinos were demolished”- Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan added.
As reported by Dan Viet, on September 16, at an ecological area in Dien Lam (Dien Chau district, Nghe An province), 6 rhinos suddenly died for unknown reasons.
The ecological area where 6 rhinos died simultaneously has a total area of 300ha in Dien Lam commune, Dien Chau district, Nghe An province. It has a wild zoo with 70 species of animals, more than 2,000 animals, including many rare individuals such as white tigers, rhinoceros, Oryx gazella, giraffes, etc.
