ARRESTED FOR ILLEGALLY TRADING 2 PANGOLINS
On September 2, the police of Son Tay town, Hanoi city said that it was consolidating documents and handling two subjects who illegally transported and traded in endangered rare and precious wild animals.
The two arrested subjects are Hoang Viet Duc (born in 1991; residing in Viet Lam commune, Vi Xuyen district, Ha Giang province) and Tran Xuan Khuong (born in 1992; residing in Phu Xuan, Thai Binh city, Thai Binh province).

Previously, on August 18, at Cau Tri street, Son Loc ward, Son Tay town, the working group of the Economic Police Team coordinated with the Traffic and Order Police Team, the Son Tay Town Police had discovered and arrested Hoang Viet Duc and Tran Xuan Khuoc for illegally transporting and trading two Java pangolins. This individual belongs to group IB List of endangered rare species prioritized for protection.
The police agency brought people and exhibits to the headquarters to clarify the violation of regulations on protection of endangered and rare animals.
Son Tay town police are continuing to investigate and handle the subjects according to regulations.
