ILLEGAL TRANSPORT OF WILD ANIMALS WENT TO JAIL
Duyen brought a sack and a plastic bag containing 1 king cobra (weighing 2.5kg) and 2 loris (weighing nearly 1kg).
Police of Van Lang district in collaboration with the police of Na Sam town, Lang Son province have just arrested Luong Thi Duyen (born in 1964, residing in Po Ha village, Trung Khanh commune, Van Lang district, Lang Son province) for criminal behavior illegally transporting and trading rare and precious wild animals.

At the time of the search, the police force discovered that Duyen was carrying a sack and a plastic bag containing 1 king cobra (weighing 2.5kg) and 2 loris (weighing nearly 1kg). Subject failed to present documents related to this number of animals.

King cobra and loris are endangered and rare animals of group IB, included in the Red Book of Vietnam for priority protection. At the police station, Duyen claimed to buy and collect wild animals to sell for a profit.
The police force of Lang Son province coordinated with the authorities to bring these animals to the rescue center, and at the same time made a dossier of handling the object in accordance with the law.
