Plastic Rehab Camp
According to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Ho Chi Minh City generates up to 9,000 tons of household waste daily, of which 1,800 tons is plastic waste. Unfortunately, only about 200 tons of plastic are collected and recycled each day. This not only poses a serious threat to the environment but also directly impacts human health and the socio-economic situation. Plastic pollution is no longer a distant problem but has become one of the daily challenges we face.
In this context, changing single-use plastic habits has become more urgent than ever. The “Plastic Rehab Camp” communication project was created to raise public awareness about plastic waste, inspire a sustainable green lifestyle, and promote practical solutions to reduce single-use plastic and plastic pollution.
Inspired by rehabilitation models for overcoming harmful habits (such as alcohol, tobacco, and other substances), the “Plastic Rehab Camp” promises to offer you a fun and engaging experience through various activities, such as: exploring information about plastic pollution, taking a self-assessment of your “plastic addiction,” viewing advocacy art, and more.
Additionally, you can participate in games at each station corresponding to meaningful messages: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse-Repurpose, and Recycle, with countless attractive prizes waiting for you at the event!
Are you ready to start your own “plastic rehab” journey? Join the “Plastic Rehab Camp” from November 15-17, 2024, at the West Atrium, AEON MALL Tan Phu!
