HOMO PLASTICS
“Homo Plastics” is an innovative communication project aimed at raising awareness among the younger generation about plastic waste through research on the level of plastic pollution in the aquatic environment. This collaboration is supported by the COMPOSE project, a joint initiative of the French Embassy and IRD, funded by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.

With the message “Science warns about the future, our actions determine tomorrow,” the Center for Action and Linkage for Environment and Development (CHANGE), in collaboration with the French Embassy, launches a new creative communication campaign called “Homo Plastics.”
In November 2020, CHANGE, in cooperation with the French Embassy, officially launched a new creative communication campaign called “Homo Plastics,” with the overarching message: “Science warns about the future, our actions determine tomorrow.”
As a character from the future, a hybrid of human and plastic, the message is clear: “If humans continue to use plastic excessively, the future will become Homo Plastics.”
