ILLEGAL TRADE IN WILD BIRDS ARRESTED

The functional forces of Cao Bang province have just discovered and arrested a case of transporting wild animals, and seized 110 individuals of Chinese hwamei and Black-throated laughingthrush.

The Environmental Police Force of Cao Bang Provincial Police, in coordination with the Road Traffic Police Team under the Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Public Security, and the Legal Inspection Department – Cao Bang Provincial Forest Protection Department have just discovered, arrested the illegal transportation of wild birds by taxi, seized about 110 wild birds alive.

The carrier of this wildlife is H.V.L. (SN 1992, residing in Quang Han commune, Trung Khanh district, Cao Bang province) confessed to buying from people in the area and bringing it to Cao Bang city to sell for a profit.

The case is being verified and handled by the Environmental Police Department of Cao Bang Provincial Police and the Cao Bang Forest Protection Department in accordance with the law.
